That's not a typo, that's the name of the file I'm trying to download. I found this odd search result when I was looking for a PDF for this blog post. It's not all roses and sunshine! There is a risk that someone will find out who you are and what you are doing online. I'm going to keep exploring and learning about Tor. I think there is a lot of potential for the project, even if it only ever used by a small number of people. I think one of its strengths is that it can help people who can't use the internet (due to government censorship and monitoring) and those who need the extra security because their job depends on it. It's also supposed to be good for journalists and human rights activists, too. If you want to read more about how Tor works, there are some good resources out there. One article that caught my eye was from Elias Glenn at The Wall Street Journal . It's from March 2013, but it is still a good overview of how Tor works. In the article, he talks about what makes Tor different from other software that tries to hide your activity on the internet. As you read through this, think about how various networks work together and what risks they have. Think about the tradeoff between privacy and anonymity. I have a lot of questions, too!
